Mobile opt-in will not be shared with third parties.  We do not collect or store sensitive financial information (such as full credit card numbers) on our servers. Mobile phone numbers are used solely for the purpose of account verification, transactional updates, and service-related notifications. Consent for SMS communications is obtained prior to sending and can be revoked at any time.

 

10. Service Availability & Downtime

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We are not responsible for technical issues caused by third-party providers.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

Fail to pay subscription fees.

12. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 6 months.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the new Terms.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada.

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Ontario.

15. Information Sharing

Your information will only be shared with our business partners in the event that it helps us provide you with essential business functions. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We maintain strict internal policies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding personal information, including PIPEDA and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We use reasonable security safeguards to protect your personal data from loss, unauthorized access, or disclosure.

SMS Consent & Messaging
By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS messages from DebtHelpers.ca for account updates, appointment reminders, and service-related communications.

Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. This will unsubscribe you from further text messages.

We respect your mobile number and SMS opt-in. We will not share or sell your phone number or SMS consent data to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes, unless you have explicitly agreed to this. SMS messages are used solely for Customer Care and Marketing, including service alerts, appointment reminders, promotional offers, and updates about financial assistance services (per SMS opt-in).

Data Use & Disclosure: Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All opt-in data and SMS consent information is stored securely and will not be sold or transferred.
